Low Iodine Diet

To be honest, the Low Iodine Diet (LID) to prepare for Radioactive Iodine SUCKED. My two weeks of the diet fell the last two weeks of school so that didn't help either - I felt rushed, didn't have very many resources and just was scrounging stuff together it felt like. Since then, I've found many resources that I wish I would have known about. Hopefully they help you or someone you love!

LID Life Community

This community was created by survivors for survivors. I found this extremely helpful when I was scrambling to put together a LID in a short amount of time. This website also has a facebook page that can be just as helpful. This website breaks down the foods by restaurants, type, stores, etc... really any way you could want to search it's there.

Low Iodine Cookbook

There are not many pre-made things you can eat on this diet unfortunately, so having a cookbook is a game changer to feel prepared. Anything from spices to desserts to get you through the two weeks of LID are included.
